Three brand-new free PC games have quietly dropped on Steam, and you can download and keep all of them without spending a cent. Better yet, they’re earning glowing feedback from players. While they may not be the most high-profile releases this month, the big difference from other titles is simple — no price tag and no microtransactions.

What’s still uncertain is whether any of these games work on Steam Deck, as each currently lists compatibility status as “Unknown.”

One of the free titles boasts a near-perfect 100% positive rating, another sits at 97%, and the third is so new it hasn’t received enough reviews for a score yet. Interestingly, free games don’t always guarantee high ratings; when premium titles become free, player interest often drops since newcomers may dive in without genuine enthusiasm. But these three seem to be defying that trend.

Spray N’ Pray

A nostalgic rush for fans of classic DOOM and other early FPS titles, Spray N’ Pray is a fast-paced, old-school “boomer shooter.” You step into the boots of Justinian, wielding dual revolvers as you battle through a demon-infested cathedral. Currently, it’s rocking a 97% positive rating.

One happy player summed up the vibe perfectly:

“Incredibly fun to play, with a really interesting premise and setting. A reminder of what proper gaming feels like. Wish it were way longer.”

Unknown Fluffy Objects

Sitting at a flawless 100% rating, Unknown Fluffy Objects is a quirky third-person puzzle game where you play as Buddy, a determined sheepdog protecting his flock from sneaky UFOs. Players describe it as casual, charming, and unexpectedly addictive.

A typical review reads:

“Super cute game! Played it for a bit, and I totally recommend it if you want to throw sheep around and play a chill game.”

The Last Shores

For something slower-paced, The Last Shores is a top-down, 3D solar-punk adventure focused on environmental exploration. As a fresh GREEN-CORP University graduate, you’ve been sent to an abandoned island for cleanup duty — but soon discover it’s hiding deeper secrets.

One player wrote:

“You know, for a free game, that was quite decent. I can see a lot of passion went into this.”

If these titles aren’t your style, there’s also a bigger-budget free game currently on Steam — but you’ll need to download it quickly before the offer expires.
